Special Needs Adoption.

You guys HAVE to go check out the Encompass Blog today. My old high school chum, Megan, who has always had a beautiful way with words, is sharing her adoption story about her beautiful little girl who suffers from vision loss:

“I don’t FEEL special or worthy or in any way qualified to be Libby’s mama. But at the same time, I KNOW beyond the shadow of a doubt that she is the daughter that God had planned for me from before eternity. He didn’t give me any special gifts over and above the gifts He gives to any other parent. He gave me LOVE – boundless, unconditional, go-to-the-ends-of-the-earth LOVE for my child. A love that enables me and forces me every day to grow stronger, push harder, and do everything I possibly can to make her life joyful.”

Regardless of whether or not you are an adoptive parent of a child with special needs — or an adoptive parent at all — her words will give you insight and understanding on many important levels. You can (and should) read the rest of Megan’s story by CLICKING HERE.

And have you entered the giveaway yet? Little J Headbands is giving away three of their beautiful, stylish crocheted headbands (a $60 value) on the blog, and you can earn up to 7 entries for the prize. The headbands look fantastic on both children and adults, and they make great gifts, too. We’re big fans of them at our house!
